More Disney

Last Saturday we sent Steve to Disneyland with Jocelyn alone. Casen had a bad Friday night so I took him to the doctors. They said he had the beginnings of an ear infections in his left ear and since he had not been on antibiotics for 8 months and it was the weekend they put him on meds.

It was rainy and cold so Casen and I stayed in all weekend to get him well again. So off to Disneyland Jocelyn and Daddy went!
There was no wait to see any princess at all!
Barely a wait for the tram either!
Snow White was there as well too!
 Sleeping Beauty too!

The Small World ride was closed though. We knew this was coming since they still had their holiday stuff up until mid Jan!
 Maybe she can do it??!!!
Off to California Adventure hotel to watch some old cartoons!
Through it all, Casen was all smiles! He finally started eating on Sunday and we knew he was feeling better! He also slept through the night again after 3 rough nights! Hooray mommy can sleep again too! Although he hated her medicine at 1st he is starting to be OK with it and not gauging it back up! Oy the fun never ends!!
Jocelyn and Daddy were tired after going out all weekend together!!! Wheww!!!!

More Dance

Last week was the 1st dance class that I ended up having to work (crazy Chinese New year!). So Daddy picked up the kids and they had a "picnic" until mommy got there! Thankfully Lori was able to dress her and do her hair!

YAY mommy is here! I took some posed pictures of Jocelyn for some fun before class started at 5:30!

She came up with these poses on her own! Love her personality shining through!
 Class begins!
 Barre work!
 Plie!

The class performing their recital routine which is a bunny dance! Jocelyn was in the middle!!
She still loves her dance class so much and wishes it was every day!!!

Jocelyn's story

Ok tried recording Jocelyn's super cute stories she always tells us about Baby Jesus! She has started asking endless questions about Baby Jesus and why can't she got to heaven to see baby Jesus!

Casen is 16 months Old Today!

Casen turned 16 months today! He is still such a happy baby! Of course he has his moments but even when he is crying you can make him laugh super fast!

He did start throwing temper tantrums last month while we were on vacation. That was much earlier than Jocelyn ever started. It's much harder to reason with his age. So we just make sure he is safe and let him work it out on his own! Keeping him to a routine definitely helps cut any "fits" down!

A few days ago he started saying, "EEEZZZ" for cheese when we would hold up our phones to take a photo!
He also said, "ALLDONE!" in the bath last night and stood up ready to get out!

He says "UH-OH" about 95 times a day! He does it if ANY toy is on the ground, something falls, he or we drop something..on and on and on! But every time it's so cute to hear his voice!
He discovered Hawaiian rolls and just loves them! He will still eat just about anything! It's been nice to cook him whatever and give him a smaller, cut up portion of what Steve and I are eating. He also loves to read...or pretend to read. He is finally letting me read about 3 pages now before he closes the book and he moves on to something else!
He copies everything Jocelyn does and his favorite thing is to sit on the couch next to her! He seems so proud of himself doing that!

He also loves balls and throws them all the time. He thinks its so funny! He is very into music as well and anytime he hears it he will stop and start bouncing up and down! He sometimes does this move where he puts his hip way out and turns in a circle! He also recently started adding a stomping move to his dance routine!

Casen also started to take a liking to that Fisher Price CD toy. He loves putting the CD in and out of the top slot and pushing the buttons for noise!

HAIR: His hair is starting to turn a little darker everyday too.
EYES: His eyes remain blue (no surprise there)
TEETH: He still only has 4 teeth! Can you believe it? He got them basically all at once and NONE since! So funny to us!
WEIGHT: We aren't entirely sure of his weight because we haven't done his vaccines this month yet. Guess around 23-24lbs.
CLOTHES: He is comfortably in 18 months clothes now although I roll up the pants and sleeves.
SHOES: He remains in a size 5ish shoe still though. Thankfully!!
HEAD: His head is still ginormous but again doctors say it's normal. Some shirts I can barely get on him it's so big!

We are loving this little guys personality and can't wait to see what he learns next month!!!

Happy 16 months Casen......and to us!

Jocelyn's 1st Dance Class

Today, 1.10.13, Jocelyn took her first ballet/tape combo class! Ever since I heard the words, "you are having a girl" I've dreamed of this moment! I could hardly wait for the day to come. Since she is on the young side it seemed we had to wait forever to get into this class!

We started at our local rec center where just about every dancer in our city has started. With Miss Ginger of course! She has been there for 35+ years! Everyone has stories about her that I've talked too!
I took a million photos so bare with me!

Casen had to join in for a few! He wanted to stand on the wall too....or do whatever Jocelyn is doing always!
Ok off we go!!!! She was SOO excited!!!
Class begins!!!! Jocelyn went right out with no hesitation at all!

Yep, I took a lot of photos!

"barre" work! She listened to everything and did all the moves!

I'm bias but hello she is almost the only one doing what the teacher is! Love it!
 You go Jocelyn!!!!
 Best ballerina ever!

She kept looking at Steve and I but trying NOT to smile...she was taking it VERY serious! We love that!

 Now floor work!
 Across the floor she goes.....
 and back again......
Now individual floor time. Miss Ginger would call the girls names and then they had to leap across the floor. When it was Jocelyn's turn she did 3 leaps and Miss Ginger said, "Good job Jocelyn!' The teacher knew the kids names right away! No idea how she does that!

 LEAPING!!!
She was SOOOO proud of herself afterwards and beaming from ear to ear! She didn't want to leave and wanted to know when she had her next class! She was hoping for tomorrow but I had to let her know she had a whole week to wait!
 Our tiny dancer!!!!
