Kathleen Visit

My best friend from high school, Kathleen came back to visit yesterday! She lives in NYC! Her boys, Ethan and Ayden are so big now! As you can see Ethan (at 10 years old) is already almost taller than his mom! Kathleen's sister came for the visit this year as well too! We had a really nice time catching up last night!

11 month chair photos

Jocelyn is now my big helper trying to get Casen to sit for her chair photos!

But Casen was quickly over that....love that face though!
We tried one more time. She was trying to show his number!
Ok all done! Jocelyn grabbed some books to read!

 The sweetest girl...
I passed the camera off to daddy to try and get some photos of me with the kids.....

Jocelyn said, "I'm exhausted!!"

Book Lovahhhh......

Jocelyn loves books! She loves for us to read her books at night! She gets 2 to 3 depending on how tired mommy or daddy is at the end of the day! Heehee!

Daddy is back to school!

Today is Daddy's 1st day back to school! It's teachers only this day. All students are back bright and early on Monday! So we went with Daddy to help him get a few things ready last night!
Jocelyn LOVES going to Daddy's classroom! She could hardly contain her excitement as we pulled onto the street!
Casen has been before but he was in mommy's sling and didn't see much! Now he is crawling all over and climbing up on everything! He was filthy when he got home! That's our boy!
We are praying for Daddy as he starts his 14th year of teaching! He is so blessed that he still has such a passion for it as well! Here's to an awesome 12'-13' school year Daddy!!!

Casen is 11 months

Casen was 11 months yesterday! He is really changing the last few days! He is becoming very vocal and trying to say the words that we say! He is still always a super happy little man! He smiles as soon as I open his door in the morning after I hear him saying, "mammma....mammmma..." in his baby babbling! He is definitely starting to realize I'm "ma-ma" and Steve is "da-da"!
He is out of his infant car seat now too! We are moving him to Jocelyn's car seats and then giving her the "big" carseats!
Stats:
Weight-not entirely sure but most likely 22lbs at least! But still in size 4 diapers.
Height-again not sure but he is the size of his changing table!
Skills: Standing, walking arounf furtinue, walks with our fingers, climbs (just started that), waving when we say, "goodnight", "bye-bye" or "hi", trying to do high 5's (working on it), points at everything. Points at the kitchen when I say, "Do you want toast!?" He also points to his sound machine when I get him up from his crib in the mornings. I'm guessing it's because I always turn it off-so he is reminding me?!
Words: All the usuallys and now he has added, "Ca" and 'Du" when we show him a duck! He also tries to say "dog" but it sounds like "DA"! Jocelyn is still "GA" for now!
Clothes: Still in most 9 month things but I can also put him in 12 month stuff. Some is a little big depending on the brand.
Shoes: Not entirely sure since honestly he doesn't wear shoes much! It's been so hot and no need! I tried on a size 1 and they were way too small. So I'm guessing a 2 or bigger by now. We will see when the winter comes!

My next update will be the big 1 year! I can hardly believe it is a month away! But we are so enjoying this ride!

In other news........

Jocelyn slept on her Goofy toy the other night! I went to wake her up and found this! She had Goofy in the bath the night before and asked to take him to bed as well. I just thought it was too cute that she slept that way!
This is Casen last night as Daddy fed him his dinner while mommy got to go get her hair done! We use bibs on Casen but somehow he STILL gets food everywhere so we just take his clothes off now when he eats! Less laundry! Heehee! This photo almost makes it look like HE is taking it with his camera phone!

El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood! Cinderella...the movie!

This past weekend we got tickets for Jocelyn to go see Cinderella the movie at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood! We did the VIP Balcony seating where you get popcorn and a drink with each ticket. Since we couldn't take Casen we had Steve stay home with him and my mom went with us! Since Jocelyn is really into princess stuff now I knew it would be the perfect movie to take her to! She has only been to one 30 minute kid movie so this was her 1st official movie experience!

She said she wanted her hair like princess hair so I researched some types on Pinterest and came up with this! I couldn't believe she sat long enough for me to do it! She also asked me to make her a new bow so we worked on that together as well!

She could hardly wait to get dressed! She had to carry her Cinderella doll that a friend had gotten her for her birthday! She couldn't even stand still long enough for a photo either! Ha!
She checked out the window every 5 minutes to see if Grandma E was there yet!
When she arrived off we went to Hollywood! It's pretty crazy up there so we parked and then ate lunch at the Mc Donalds on Hollywood Blvd! You can imagine all the tourist and people! Jocelyn told Grandma, "lot of people!" a few times!
Typcial Jocelyn she only hate 2 nuggets and all her apples and milk! She kept asking to go see the princess movie! I don't think she could eat too much since that was her one focus!
We took a few quick photos of Jocelyn on Hollywood Blvd! It was 93 when we got out of the car! With no breeze! HOT!

Then we took a short walk a block down to El Capitan Theatre! Had to take a photo next to the poster!
We got to wait in the VIP Seating line! This was torture for many little girls! They just wanted in! But a short 15 minutes later we were in the cool theatre with our huge bins of popcorn and generous drinks!
Jocelyn danced in her chair and hummed to the disney tunes while the organist played several familiar songs!
Look how big that popcorn was!
Clapping for the organist of course!
She was getting embarrassed by my picture taking! She told me to sit down and stop taking pictures! Sorry I couldn't help it! She was just too darn cute!
Finally it was time! The organist started to descend into the orchestra pit!

 Bye Bye.....time for the SHOW!
But one more thing! Before the movie they brought out a Cinderella who danced and talked a bit to the kids! Jocelyn was on the edge of her seat (literally) listening to every word and following her all over the stage with her eyes. She kept waving to her saying, "hi princess!" and then she would say, "mommy she isn't waving back! She doesn't see me!"

She sat through the entire movie only getting ansty towards the last 20 minutes. I took her to go to the bathroom and let her stretch her feet!

She was so tired but had so much fun! On the way home she fell asleep holding two buckets of popcorn in her hands! She wouldn't let go of those things and said she had to show Daddy!

Super fun day for all of us!

Casen is Clapping!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and that is beans and rice all over his face! His favorite these days!
Casen clapped for the 1st time yesterday! We have been working on it for weeks and he has tried but didn't exactly get it! Then yesterday ALL day he decided to clap! My mom was watching the kids and he clapped for her all day! Then when I was feeding him dinner he clapped for me too! We kept encouraging him to do it more and more! It was SO cute!!

The fastest clapper ever...you can't even see his hands he is so fast! HA!!!
Ok "ma-ma" no more clapping.....so tired!

Jocelyn the baseball hat wearer!

Our 2 year old (can't say that too much longer) is so funny sometimes! She has these amazing stories and ideas and adventures she takes us on every night! Tonight while we were playing she grabbed one of Daddy's hats and said, "I'm a baseball player!" No one was about to tell her that hat said, "golf" on it! So of course we went with it!

She said she had to go play baseball and then she said, "But I need my backpack and wings too!" Oh of course! Pink wings non the less!
She said she had to stand at the door and on the base and take her picture!

She really likes it on backwards too!
 Love that face!
Casen crawled over for some photos as well!
 Baby chubs!

Love! We continued a bit after baths as she heard the kids outside! We went out to play with them for a little bit!

Night everyone!!
