Jocelyn's 1st Preschool Open House

Tonight was Jocelyn's Open House at her new preschool! Sadly Casen got sick so Daddy and Casen couldn't make it! Mommy and Jocelyn still had a good time though!
It started at 7pm in the Chapel. Jocelyn has Chapel every Wed! The pastor spoke 1st and opened up the night. Then the preschool director introduced all the teachers! The biggest cheers were for the 5yr-Pre-K room! Those teachers fully prepare each child for Kindergarden over and beyond!
Jocelyn's teacher worked with Jocelyn to catch her up on all the artwork she missed. She made sure she had something on the wall with all the other kids in each of her sections!

March was sea life month! April is Math month!

This is what Jocelyn recited to us that other night! The teacher told me it's their bible lesson portion of the day! She said Jocelyn really loves it!

Since it was sea life month, they had a person come and bring a bunch of sea life for the kids to touch! Jocelyn said she did NOT touch any of it! Ha!

 Playing in her classroom!

This is her main teacher, Miss Kelly! We didn't get a picture of the assistant Miss Angela.
Miss Kelly and Jocelyn! She said Jocelyn is a pleasure to have in the class and she loves the kitchen/home play section the best!
Jocelyn the scuba diver! She introduced me to many of her friends that she already has meet. She had 4 little girls come up to her and say, "HI JOCELYN!" they were all so cute visiting with each other!

They had a book fair as well! Buy one get one free! We came home with 4 books that Jocelyn picked out! I can't wait to read them with Jocelyn! Love getting new books! She had to run back for one more cookie!!!!
So tired and ready to go home!!!! She was so excited to show me ALL her work! I'm going to scan her work in and post it later!

By the way, she picked this outfit out very special. She tried on 3 outfits before she picked this! She said she wanted a BIG poofy skirt!!

18 months!

So this cool guy turned 18 months this weekend! A year and half!?? How did that happen!
Casen is the sweetest little guy ever! He is snuggly and easy to smile! He loves his big sister so much yet tries to annoy her just as much!

Weight: 24lbs 7oz
Height: 31"
New Words: "1, 2, GO"(love saying this and then falling on mommy), "Ruff Ruff"(to any dog, cat, plane), "outside", "yogurt" (meaning the Yo-Go from Costco). "whoa" (when he hears loud cars or motorcycles & planes.
Skills: Shakes his head "yes" and "no". Understands everything we say now.

Happy 18 Month's Casen!

Weekend Fun!

This weekend was really nice weather! I had Friday off to take Casen to the drs for his latest vaccines. So we picked up Jocelyn early and got some paints and did crafts in the backyard!

Casen is into them for about 1 minute. Then he dumped a big cup of water on the table which pretty much ended those arts and crafts! On to water fun!

Saturday night we went to Disneyland!

During Saturday day we went to Brody's 4th birthday party! Jocelyn and Brody miss each other so much now that they are both in different preschool's! I was surprised to see them play together almost the entire birthday!

Ava also got to see Casen! They also love handing out!

Sunday we tried out pool out! It wasn't as warm as we thought it was going to be though! So it didn't last too long!

Happy Birthday Daddy

We celebrated Daddy's 39th birthday this weekend as a family!

But we also got to celebrate alone on Saturday night!!! Thanks Grandma E!
Happy Birthday Daddy!

Jocelyn & Casen Says

On Monday night as we ate dinner, Jocelyn said, "According to scripture Christ died for our sins! He was also buried......according to SCRIPTURE!" Steve and I shot each other a look like, really!??? So guess her school is really teaching her a lot and it's sinking in! We love how she kept emphasizing the word, "scripture"! Too funny!
She is really loving her school and we are really happy with how it's going!

Casen also started saying, "ruff ruff" when he sees a dog or cat! Despite me telling him everytime that cat's say "meow"....but at least he is getting the concept!
He says, "outside" & "all done" which sounds like, "ahhh-duhh"!
He also now shakes his head up down to say "yes" when you ask him questions. It's so cute because he will do it so deliberately as if it's almost a little hard to do but he really wants to learn! He had been shaking his head "no" for a few weeks already.
He now understands everything we say to him and will do most of the things we ask of him as long as he wants too-ha!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

On Saturday we went to get some flowers and dirt! Jocelyn has been asking to plant seeds which are not growing fast enough for her 3 year old self! So we decided to get her some flowers as well until her seeds start to sprout! She was super excited!

Then I was off to a "Sip and See"! My friend summer had her 2nd son, Raiden 2 month ago so we all got to meet him! They had a fantastic dessert bar! So yummy!
Then I ran back to the house where Grandma E had already gotten to! She watched the kids while Daddy and I got to have a date night for his birthday! We went to a Teppan Yaki dinner in Orange!

This morning I made sure we had some green bagels to eat! Then we had to work on our garden in the afternoon!

I love how they are looking at each other in this picture!!

Casen looked at the bagel and said, "uh-ohhh"....as if he knew it wasn't supposed to be green!
Then time to plant our flowers. We planted some in the front yard and some in the back yard!

Jocelyn was pretty much a good help for most of the time. But Casen was the opposite of helping! He wanted to shovel the dirt out instead of in....put the flowers out instead of in....water the cement instead of the flowers! But it was still fun despite all the craziness! Now let's just hope the flowers last and the seeds grow fast enough for Jocelyn!

 Casen had to water too!

 Snack time!

We finally went to Island's with Daddy for his birthday as a family! He has NEVER been in 39 years...can you believe it???? The shortest member of our family was very antsy though and tried to climb out of our booth several times! Finally let him play with the salt so we could eat a little bit! He never stops!

Jocelyn wanted to name her garden, "Jocelyn's Unicorn Garden"! So we will make a sign for it soon! That was completely on her own!
The endlessly hungry man still eating....even after our dinner! Cracks me up!
