1st Trip to the Library

We took Jocelyn to her first Library in Cerritos. If you haven't been to this one it's a really good one for kids. The kids room is right near the front door so if your child is partially talkative that day, you don't have to "shush" them all through the library!

There is also a giant wall aquarium that is full of fish and one shark! Jocelyn's new favorite animal is a "DOG" so she was pointing at every fish saying, "dog"! Despite us telling her they were fish! Oh well, she will get it someday! Ha! The older kids were looking at her like she was crazy!

The wall on the other side is in the children's room!
They have tons of things to touch including the globe! Jocelyn had just hit the globe and said, "Whoooaaa" her other favorite thing to say!
They have this super cool tree in there too!

and Dinosaurs!!
a little computer time!
Outside they have a few fountains actually! This one was the most parent friendly! The only one is one of those fountains kids can walk right up to with the water spouting up from the ground. So beware of that one if you don't want your child getting soaked that day! It is off to the side so it is avoidable when you walk in!

Jocelyn would have jumped right in if we let her! She had a blast!

Just some picture's from this weekend!

My mom had Jack this weekend while Kelly and Ryan went on fun baby free vacation! Emma went to her other Grandma's! Jack is all smiles these days! He was so much fun! Jocelyn tried several times to hand him a ball or toy! She didn't understand why he couldn't play!

6 Mini Pancakes!

Jocelyn's eating!! Since all of Jocelyn's medications are coming together and doing the happy dance in her little body, we now have an eater on our hands! It's so frustrating when your child won't eat! We've struggled between getting Jocelyn enough calories everyday and making meal time a positive experience too! Jocelyn has never been the baby that lays in your arms and takes 8oz...or even 5oz of milk! If she took 1 to 2 in a sitting we were thrilled! Then when we started solids she would take 2 maybe 3 bites and refuse more! So to see her eat.....really EAT a meal is so exciting!

This morning...and for about a week now, Jocelyn has eaten 6 mini pancakes in the morning! The first time she ate all 6 I was so surprised! I searched her entire highchair and diaper for them! She is super good at hiding things so I thought maybe she had stuffed them away on each side of her! But nope, they were in her belly! Woohoo! So I got a shot of her this morning on my phone eating them! Sorry it's a little dark..it was 5:30am!
Then we got all dressed for the day and played with Daddy as he got ready for work! Jocelyn's newest thing is saying, "Ohhhhhh!!" with her lips pierced together! It's SO cute! Steve caught a shot of her doing it as he help up his phone to take a picture!

Ya-ycin

Had to post my cute story!

We play this game with Jocelyn sometimes where we point to Daddy and say, "Daddy!" and then point to mommy and say, "Mommy" and then we all point to Jocelyn and say, "Jocelyn!"

So the other day we are doing this and she ALWAYS says "Daddy" when we get to Daddy but mommy is a toss up and she never says Jocelyn. Well she did this time! As soon as we were done with Daddy she pointed at her chest and said, "Ya-ycin"! I was like, "wait did she just say Jocelyn!?" So stinkin' cute!

This morning she did it again when she saw herself in the mirror! So funny! Love it!

She now has added knowing where her eyes, ears and sometimes her nose are too! Although she mostly likes to point to mommy's eyes, nose and ears when you ask her where they are! She's known where her hair, toes, feet, tummy and diaper are for awhile now!

Lastest Doctors Appt

Here is another picture of our photo session with Paul Gero Photography! This is my favorite one so far! Steve has another favorite though that I will post later!

So we saw Jocelyn's Pulmonary Specialist Dr. C again on Friday! He has kindly let us see him at Los Al hospital where he has another office. Rather than going all the way to LB Memorial! So much easier and closer! We went to get her results of the bloodwork and to tell him how the Pulmicort was doing. Her bloodwork came back showing zero allergies and that her immunity is great! So no allergies to cats, dogs, dust, grass...etc. He did say she obviously has very sensitive skin though. So we are going to try a few seasonal allergy meds to see if we can clear up her excema! We will try it for a week and if it doesn't clear we will move on to another one.

We also let him know the Pulmicort is working really well. He told us it tells the lungs to not react to things in the environment. So she has not had any nighttime coughing now. Also no more running nose and no rattly chest while she plays! She will have her breathing treatments twice a day for another month then we will ween her down to once a day. Then he will do another chest xray to see what her lungs look like and then we will go from there! I think I liked him much better the 2nd visit! He seemed much more personable on Friday!

Jocelyn will be 13 months tomorrow. Do we still count months? I guess so huh!? When someone asks us her age and we say "She's 1" we always get the random stare, as if they are waiting for how many months! I think we broke the parent code of telling her age in months until she's like 2 1/2 right? Heehee!

Oh and we didn't get a weight because his Los Al office is for adults! But we will get one soon when we get the follow up shot to Jocelyn's flu show next week!
