Jocelyn Says

I think just about every parent likes to hear about their kids day! But generally that is usually a hard task to come by! Not much info is passed on...or at least not as much as we would like to hear! But last night I got a lot more info than I expected!

I asked Jocelyn, "How was your day!? Who did you play with today!?
She immediately said, "BRODY!"
I said, "What did you and Brody do today!?"
She thought about it and said, "Me ate! Me eat boogers!"
I said, "say what????? did you say BOOGERS!?"
She laughed and said, "YEAHHH!!!!!!!!!" and then ran off to play! Oh ok then!
I asked Lori about it this morning-laughing of course! She said, "OHH yes they all love to talk about eating boogers!"
I said, "Oh man she needs more girls here I guess!"
Lori said, "Oh no Ava eats boogers too!"
HA! Sigh........

Jocelyn says

As Jocelyn ate her breakfast this morning she saw Daddy in the kitchen and said, "Daddy need to see your eyes!"
So Daddy had to come over and show Jocelyn his eyes.
He said, "see them!?"
Jocelyn said, "Yeah not red Daddy!"
HAHA! Nope they sure aren't today!

On the morning of Daddy's birthday I tried to sing Happy Birthday to him but Jocelyn said, "NO, no no....NOT READY yet!!" She said we needed a cake and candles first!
So we waited to sing to him until we had some cake and candles that night! I'll post picture's in a bit!

So Jocelyn and I went to wrap Daddy's present. I got him a watch. So I had her bring it to him to open. He was playing around and when he went to open it he said, "Wow Jocelyn what do you think it is? Do you think it's a BIKE??"
Jocelyn said, "No Daddy it's a watch!"
So much for surprising Daddy!!

Jocelyn Says

The other day were were watching The Fresh Beat Band-a new favorite show of Jocelyn's! There is lots of singing and dancing in that show!
She stood up and said, "No me dancer!"
I said, "oh you want to dance too!?"
She said, "Yeah my mommy dancer and my daddy dancer!"
So I said, "why don't you make up a dance!"
So she did.....didn't really think she would!
She said, "Spin AROUND REAL FAST, (as she spun around) then KICK (as she kicked her foot out really hard) !!! Then Spin around real fast (as she spun she went faster and faster)!" Then she said, "ME Dizzy!!" HAHAHA!

Steve and I try not to be "those" parents who are impressed by small things our kids do...but hey we totally were for a few moments with this one!!

She has told me a few times the last few days since then that she is a "DANCER!" OK! Mommy couldn't be more happy!

Jocelyn Says

Jocelyn says SO much these days! I have to write it down fast to remember some of the funny stuff!

Last night Jocelyn wanted to go outside but it was pretty cold.
She stood at the back door looking outside! Then looked back at me and said, "Outside mommy!?"
I said, "It's pretty cold out there tonight!"
She said, "Mommy I need to see COWS!"
I was of course very curious about these cows she talked about so I pushed her on the subject!
Me: "There are cows out there??"
Jocelyn: "YEAH! They seeping!"
Me: "So you want to go see them sleep!?"
Jocelyn: "Yeah mom we will have fun!"
Sometimes she says a phase that stops me in my tracks. It's just so clear and cute and clearly something she has heard the adults around her say!

This morning as I woke her up:
Jocelyn says, "Look mom!" and points to her nose!
Me: "I don't see anything! What is it?"
Jocelyn says, "It's running!"
Me: I looked closer and could see a little trickle of clear snot about to run out! "DO you feel OK Jocelyn!?? I hope you aren't getting sick!"
Jocelyn: "YEAH me happy!"
Me: "OK THEN! Good to know!"

Oh and her "new" word is no longer "BIG" but "HUGE!" Things are now "HUGE"
She also asks if everything cost "twenty dollars!?" Or she will tell us something is "twenty dollars".
For example we got golden spoon frozen yogurt last night and she asked Steve, "twenty dollars daddy?"

In her world things also take "3 HOURS!"
For example she tells me Casen ate for "3 HOURS!!" today! Or he slept for "3 HOURS!" She always say it with BIG eyes and each of her hands to her side facing the ceiling and she waves them up and down! Could not love it MORE!

Jocelyn Says

Me: "Jocelyn, do you want toast this morning!?"
Jocelyn: "No, just butter!"
Me: "You just want butter? No toast?"
Jocelyn: "Yeah!"
Me: :-/

Despite that request Steve still made her TOAST with butter. On our way to daycare Jocelyn says, "Oh no mommy forget my butter!"

Yep we sure did Jocelyn!
Aww love it!

Jocelyn Says!

I had just made coffee cake Sunday morning. Jocelyn looked at it and said, "Is WEIRD mommy!"
But after some convincing she had a tiny bite and said, "It GOOD in my tummy mommy! BIG!" (for big piece).

Tuesday night my Dad brought over choclate pie for dessert from Marie Calendar's! When it was time to serve it up Jocelyn was helping me in the kitchen! When I asked her if she wanted pie she made a face and said, "NOOO..." as she shook her head! But as I started to cut the pie she wanted to see it. So I lifted her up to show her the pie! Her eyes got really big and she quickly changed her mind saying, "I need big piece mommy! BIG!"
She is very into "BIG" things right now! Of course she only had a few bites and then said, "mommy eat! all done!"

The other day Jocelyn was talking about mommmy and daddy's work. So I asked her what she wanted to do when she grew up! She said, "A DRESSER!" I said, "A Dresser? What is that?" She said, "Me hairrrrr..(pulling on her hair)..Me jacket..(has she pointed to her jacket)..Me shoes...(as she pointed down to her shoes)...yeah yeah yeah (shaking her head up and down)...!" So I guess she wants to dress people or maybeb just herself?? HAHA! So love it!
